Process

How Heave-Ho Runs Sign Installation Work

Four steps from the first call to the cleared site. Same approach on every sign installation dispatch from three yards.

Confirm The Lift Plan

Send the sign weight, the install height, the site address, the permit status, and the install window. We confirm the right boom truck and any traffic control coordination before scheduling the dispatch.

Roll The Truck

Boom truck arrives inside your permit window. Outriggers down, ground bearing checked, rigging staged with your sign crew. Traffic control set if the site is on a lane closure. No surprises on site.

Make The Lift

NCCCO operator runs the lift from the truck. Sign set in the install position. Your sign crew handles the bolt up and electrical.

Clear The Site

Outriggers up, truck out, lane and access path clear. Lift plan documented, COI confirmed, invoice follows the work.

Sign Installation Crane Questions

Common questions about boom truck lifts for sign installation contractors on the Gulf Coast.

How high can your boom truck reach for highway signs?

Our 40 ton boom trucks reach up to 175 feet tip height at standard offset. Most overhead highway signs, billboard panels, and monument tops are within reach. Send the install height and the offset and we confirm the right truck for the reach before we schedule.

Do you coordinate with traffic control and permits?

Yes. For highway sign work requiring lane closures or shoulder work, we coordinate with your sign contractor and traffic control. We don't pull the permit but we line up the dispatch around the permit window. NOLA, Jefferson Parish, Lafayette, and most Gulf Coast jurisdictions are routine.

Can you set billboard panels and full billboard structures?

Yes. Billboard panel sets and full structure installs are routine. Send the panel or structure weight and the install height. For oversized billboards, we coordinate the lift in sections or work with a sub crane.

What about monument signs and pylon signs?

Yes. Monument signs, pylon signs, and parking lot signage drops are an hour or two with the right boom truck. We pull the old sign or set the new one and leave the site clean for your sign crew.

What does insurance and COI look like for sign contractor work?

We carry general liability and commercial auto coverage with limits sized for sign installation contractor work. We name your company as additional insured on a per job basis at no extra cost. COI requests come back the same business day.
